Ability to mark Specific Quantity on BOM Line as Not Required

In this sub process, about “Not Required” functionality on BOM line is discussed.

From total required BOM line quantity if partial quantity is no longer used for production order, then we can add not required BOM line quantity in Not Required Quantity field

To add BOM line quantity in Not Required Quantity the following conditions must be followed

• Production order status should be in "Inventory Checked".
• For BOM line shortage record is in Active status.

A. To achieve this sub process, some setup is needed as follows

• Create Production Order manually or automatically and to know how please refer Production order creation sub process.
• Approve, Plan & schedule Production Order and to know how please refer Plan / schedule production order sub process.

 

B. After completing setup and to mark BOM line as not required, please refer steps given below

• Navigate to Menu Category.
• Select Production menu category.
• Navigate to -> Production Order record with Inventory Checked status , click on -> Execution BOM.
• Redirects to Detail page of Execution BOM, Navigate to Lines tab besides Details tab as shown below

      

• Click on -> BOM line with active shortage record (Existing Record)
• To mark the BOM line quantity as not required, Navigate to -> Not Required Quantity field
• Add the Quantity which are not required for production order
• Click on -> Save button
• On click of save button, if added Not required quantity is equal to related shortage record, then the related shortage record gets cancelled
• If added Not required quantity is greater than related shortage record, then the related shortage record gets cancelled and remaining quantity gets deducted from related reserved quantity of BOM line
• If added Not required quantity is less than related shortage record, then the quantity deducted from related shortage and shortage quantity gets updated.
