Creation and Completion of Cutting Job

In this topic, cutting Job creation and process towards completion is discussed in detail.

Cutting Job are created when for production of product, for component needed, stock is reserved in dimensional units. So after reservation of component, we can perform additional cutting activity to get reserved stock into numbers which will get easy to use in production.

Cutting Job is basically done to provide required count of components for production to get complete.

To achieve this sub process, some setup is needed:

• Create Planning BOM and to know how please refer Add / amend Bom sub process.
• Create BOM line using Component with 'Maintain Stock By = Area'
• Create Production Order and plan it and to know how please refer Plan / schedule production order sub process.

After completing setup, please refer steps given below:

• On Production Order, click -> Schedule.
• Production Order status will be marked as 'Inventory Checked', navigate to Execution BOM, Open Bom line.
• Redirected to detail page of BOM line -> Navigate to Cutting Job Grid
• After Inventory check, if any stock is reserved then cutting job will be created accordingly with cutting Job Quantity = Reserved Quantity / Execution Bom line Area.
