Updating of Stock in Inventory to Maintain the Buffer Quantity

In this sub process, updating of stock in inventory location after completion of replenishment record created for product to maintain buffer stock quantity is discussed.

For achieving this sub process, some setup is need as follows

• Create Replenishment Configuration and to know how please refer Replenishment configuration to maintain buffer stock of specific product or component sub process.
• Create Replenishment and to know how please refer Auto /manual creation of replenishment sub process.

A. After Completing setup and to update stock in inventory of product please refer steps given below

• To fulfil replenishment, create Purchase Requisition or Production Order and to know how please refer Creation of requisition or production order to fulfill replenishment sub process.
• Mark Replenishment record as “Completed” by completing related Requisition or production order record and to know how please refer Progress and completion of replenishment sub process.
• As soon as replenishment record is marked as “Completed”, Inventory movement is done

• • From Arrival location to Inventory location if replenishment is fulfilled through Purchase requisition

Or

• • From Production Operation location to Inventory location if replenishment is fulfilled through Production Order.
